ESS and Workflow
The Employee Self Service or ESS is a web based application that allows a registered employee to access and update his or her personal and employment information online, using either an Internet browser or the company network. Even though the self service features of individual profile maintenance is already in trend, it is the overall user-friendliness and seamless integration of the Orisoft ESSNet Service to an organization’s Orisoft HR Software System that makes ESS a compelling solution for HR.
The Workflow of the Orisoft HRMSNet product catalog is essentially the automation of a business process in whole or part where documents, information, or tasks are distributed from one participant to another for action through a set of predefined procedural rules. However the Orisoft FlowNet or Workflow is merely the online interactive interface for keying in data. The Orisoft HR Software System is the product that handles the back-end activities allowing the escalation procedures and alert features to operate.
Construction of “e-forms”
The following are examples of business e-form processes automated by Orisoft workflow technology:
- E-Leave. Leave is applied online by the employee and escalated to the approver, pending his or her approval. This feature fully utilizes Orisoft business alert and back-end HR processing system.
- E-Claim. An employee may submit his or her claim online, which is to be authenticated by the designated approver (and perhaps, other respective third parties).
- E-Training. This may apply to appraisers who would like to nominate an employee for training, based on the employee training needs identified by the HR system.
- E-Appraisal. Generally used as a reference for employee performance appraisals and recommendations.
- E-Loan. Employees may apply for a loan online.
- Various requisition and order forms. Examples include: company assets requisition form, resource requisition form (by job position), and resource order form.
